We’re seeking an industrious, highly diligent individual who can contribute to our growth and make a positive impact to our team as our staff accountant. 

What You'll Do

  • Apply GAAP and financial statement presentation skills to propose accounting treatment for transactions
  • Review vendor bills for acceptability; accurately enter bills into our payment processing system
  • Manage A/R, including invoicing customers for fulfilled sales orders, accepting customer payments, and handling collections
  • Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, provide accounting reports, and assist in month-end close processes using our NetSuite EPR system
  • Prepare state sales tax returns and GSA sales reports
  • Assist in developing policies and procedures to support segregation of duties and other internal controls
  • Respond to and prioritize external audit inquiries; act as an internal auditor for inventory counts
  • Work closely with our CFO, Controller, Business Operations Manager, Sales team, and Manufacturing Operations team
  • Provide backup handling for customer service, including providing customer quotations, processing sales orders and accepting payments, and answering the phones

You Have

  • BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent with solid knowledge of GAAP, general ledger structure, and financial statements
  • 3+ years accounting experience working in high-growth startups, manufacturing firms, business accounting firm, or similar
  • Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting, including landed and standard costs
  • Demonstrate proficiency in productivity tools such as Word, Excel, and Google Sheets/Docs
  • Effective at managing time and workload with minimal direction
  • Analytical, skeptical and curious; able to identify and report relevant risks and issues to management for a timely and appropriate resolution
  • You're exceptionally organized, have superb attention to detail, and tech-savvy
